Someone please tell me all this recent screaming/shrieking is a just a phase and she does it because she likes making new sounds. It's hurting my ears.

I struggled with that phase with John Christian. Then, with Charlie I got smart! Each time he started to scream I'd sing the wheels on the bus and say the mommy on the bus says shh shh shh! Worked like a charm!
